1
Start your free trial
Go to terriqon.com and click Start Free Trial. Enter your organization name, work email address, and a password to create your account. No credit card is required — your full 14-day trial begins immediately with access to all platform features.
2
Set up your organization
After signing in, you land in the Organization Admin dashboard. Enter your organization’s display name and configure your basic settings — including your default timezone and preferred report language. These settings apply across all projects and reports in your account.
3
Create a project
Navigate to Projects and click New Project. Give the project a name and a start date, and optionally set its location and thematic area (for example, Health, WASH, or Livelihood). A project is the container that holds everything else — your registry or form, your team, your KPIs, and your reports. You’ll attach those in the next steps and assign your team once you’ve invited them.
4
Build your registry or form
Decide how you’re collecting data:
- Track entities over time (Path A). If you’re following individual people, facilities, schools, or assets across multiple visits, first create a Registry under Records → Create Registry Type. Define its attributes (name, age, location, and so on), mark one field as the Primary Identifier, and set the lifecycle statuses a record moves through (for example, Pending → Active → Graduated). Then build a Form whose fields match the registry and link it, so each submission updates the right record.
- One-off collection (Path B). For a survey or monitoring checklist that doesn’t track a specific entity, just build a standalone Form under Forms → New Form.
5
Invite your team members
Go to Team and click Invite. Add the Managers who will oversee projects and review reports, and the Field Officers who will collect data in the field. Each person receives an email to install the Terriqon PWA on their phone or tablet — no app store required.Your Organization Admin owns billing and doesn’t use a seat. Managers and Field Officers together count toward your plan’s seat limit — for example, the Field plan covers 15 users in total. Once invited, assign your Managers to the project and your Field Officers to the form so they can start collecting.
6
Create KPIs and activities (optional)
If you want to track progress against targets, open your project’s KPI & Activities tab. Create a KPI — a measurable goal such as “500 households surveyed” — choosing its type (Numeric, Percentage, or Binary), a target value, and a unit. Then add Activities beneath it: the specific, time-bound tasks that move that KPI forward. KPI progress and dashboards update automatically as activities are completed and data arrives. Note that a KPI’s type is locked once you save it, so choose Numeric, Percentage, or Binary carefully.
7
Collect the data
Ask one of your Field Officers to open the Terriqon PWA on their device. They’ll see the assigned form and can begin filling it in immediately — whether they have internet access or not. If they’re offline, the submission is saved locally and syncs to the platform automatically as soon as connectivity returns. Incoming submissions appear in your project dashboard in real time.
8
Generate your first AI report
Once your project has a published form with enough validated submissions, open the project’s Reports and click Generate Report. Choose the report type that fits your need — Project, Ops, Donor, or Portfolio — and confirm. Terriqon aggregates the data (excluding your sensitive-tagged fields) and drafts the report. When the draft is ready, a Manager or Admin reviews it, makes any manual edits, and clicks Approve to finalize it. The report is only available for download after that named sign-off.
