# Install the Terriqon App

> Install the Terriqon Progressive Web App on iPhone, iPad, or Android, keep it updated, and resolve common installation issues.

Terriqon runs as a **Progressive Web App (PWA)**. You install it directly from your device's browser, so you do not need the App Store or Play Store. Once installed, Terriqon has its own icon, opens without the browser interface, and supports offline data collection in the field.

> You need an internet connection to install and set up the app for the first time. After setup, you can collect data offline. The app is intended for **Managers** and **Field Officers**. **Organization Admins** manage the account from the web dashboard. Have your Terriqon sign-in details ready before you begin.

## Install on iPhone or iPad

Use Safari for the steps below.

**1. Open Terriqon in Safari**

Open **Safari** and go to [app.terriqon.com](https://app.terriqon.com).

**2. Open the Share menu**

Select the **Share** button—the square with an upward arrow. Its position depends on your Safari tab layout.

**3. Add Terriqon to your Home Screen**

Scroll through the available actions and select **Add to Home Screen**.

**4. Confirm the installation**

Enable **Open as Web App** if that option appears, then select **Add** in the upper-right corner.

**5. Open the app**

Close Safari and select the **Terriqon** icon on your Home Screen. You can now open it like any other app.

## Install on Android

Use Chrome or another Chromium-based browser.

**1. Open Terriqon in your browser**

Open **Chrome** or another Chromium-based browser and go to [app.terriqon.com](https://app.terriqon.com).

**2. Start the installation**

If an **Install app** or **Add to Home screen** prompt appears, select it. If you do not see a prompt, open the **⋮ menu** in the upper-right corner and select **Install app** or **Add to Home screen**.

**3. Confirm the installation**

Select **Install** to confirm.

**4. Open the app**

Select the **Terriqon** icon on your Home screen or in your app drawer.

## Updates

You do not need to reinstall Terriqon when a new version is released. The installed app loads updates automatically when you open it while connected to the internet. Open the app online periodically to receive the latest fixes, improvements, and features.

> If something looks wrong after an update, fully close Terriqon and reopen it while connected to the internet. This allows the app to load the latest version.

## Troubleshooting

* **Add to Home Screen is missing on iPhone or iPad.** Confirm that you opened [app.terriqon.com](https://app.terriqon.com) in Safari. If the action is still missing, scroll to the bottom of the Share menu, select **Edit Actions**, and add **Add to Home Screen**.
* **No installation prompt appears on Android.** Open the **⋮ menu** and select **Install app** or **Add to Home screen**. If the option is unavailable, Terriqon may already be installed. Check your app drawer.
* **The app does not open or shows a blank screen.** Connect your device to the internet, fully close Terriqon, and open it again to complete setup or load the latest version.
